National Special Chemical Material Technology Seminar Held

From August 28 to 29, experts and scholars from China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, China National Nuclear Material Corporation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Tsinghua University, and representatives of enterprises engaged in special chemical materials gathered in Urumqi City to discuss national specialty chemical materials. How to communicate between the supply and demand sides, and how to combine military and civilian development.

It is understood that China's special chemical materials have been developed in the 1950s in the last century. We have organized dozens of key scientific research projects such as rocket fuel, heavy water, aerospace glass, aramid, carbon fiber, marine coatings, and silicon fluoride. Thirteen major new chemical materials. For half a century, China's independent research and development and production of special chemical materials have made significant contributions to China's two bombs and one star, new combat aircraft, tanks, artillery, naval vessels, military electronics, and Shenwu and Shenwu.

At present, the rapid development of cutting-edge technologies such as the defense industry and aerospace industry in China is increasingly demanding for the performance and functions of supporting materials. The requirements for supporting systems, organization and management, and demand guarantees are becoming more and more stringent. National specialty chemical materials are being supplied and operated. The lack of communication between the parties has seriously affected the development of the industry. Delegates felt that it was more and more urgent to play the role of coordinating and serving the industry organizations, and it was time for special chemical materials to unite in the plan.

In view of the current situation of the improvement of the special chemical industry in the country but the lack of communication between the supply and demand sides, the meeting proposed that the “Special Committee on Special Chemical Materials of the China Petrochemical Association” should be established as soon as possible. The establishment of a large platform for special chemical material special committees can integrate the technologies, equipment, and human resources of petrochemicals, universities, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and military systems across industries, and form an organically integrated supporting system that will benefit the defense industry and cutting-edge technologies for specialty chemical materials. The long-term demand is conducive to the combination of military and civilian and civilian technology as well as the development of special chemical materials industry.
