Maleic anhydride market demand is flat
Last week, domestic maleic anhydride market was high-ranked. The atmosphere of negotiation became dull. With the decline of pure benzene, the expectation of merchants for the post-market was weakened. Domestic manufacturers of maleic anhydride seldom made offers and the downstream sentiment was strongly resisted. At the end of last week, the odds of negotiating prices in the maleic anhydride market in North China was between RMB 10,200 and RMB 10,500/ton, and in eastern China, prices were between RMB 10,500 and RMB 1,800/tonne.
At present, the overall operating rate of maleic anhydride manufacturers is not high, some of the devices are parked, and the manufacturer's inventory is moderate. As the largest downstream market for maleic anhydride, the unsaturated resin industry has experienced some sluggish seasons. The operating rate of manufacturers has not been obviously followed by the warming of the weather, thus curbing the consumption of maleic anhydride. With the sharp decline in the external disk, the support of raw materials has been loosened in the early stage, coupled with weak downstream demand, it is expected that the domestic maleic anhydride market is likely to fall in the later period, but the margin is limited.
