Danaher Motion introduces new connector solutions
The solution features an innovative plug-in flat connector that saves space and is easy to install February 21, 2008 - Danaher Motion, the world's leading provider of motion control solutions, has introduced a new connector solution Program. The solution uses the ITT Cannon CmX series of connectors, which have the same number of components as the standard AKM circular connectors, and are only about half the height of the latter, saving a lot of space. The high reliability and long service life of the ITT connector offer many benefits to the user: not only IP67 rated dust and water protection, but also fully DIN EN61984 safety standards, and its vibration resistance is stronger than circular connectors. In addition, the 200 to 500 N cable tension in the ITT connector allows it to withstand extremely high tensile loads and the cable has a very high torsional strength.
The solution's internal connector configuration is somewhat different from a normal connector, but a single small connector at the end of the cable ensures smooth cable routing. Color-coded connectors allow this solution to avoid polarity reversal. CmX connectors are available in a wide range of specifications, with the most powerful connectors handling up to 40A. Cm3 and Cm5 provide 4 power connectors and 18 signal connectors.
