Chicago Still & Box Alarm fire 8-21-13

Here's a firsthand account from Drew Gresik:

I was at the Still and Box station located at 2324 S. California when the fire broke out. The blaze was in a vacant, 2.5-story wood-frame building. By the time these photos were taken, the firefighters had gone defensive with their operations. Tower 5 was positioned in Sector 1, while Squad 1â€™s snorkel was actively working a master stream in Sector 2. From what I could see, the fire was likely in the attic or second floor. I didnâ€™t spot any visible flames, but there was a heavy amount of smoke coming from the structure. These are some of the shots I captured.
