1. General Introduction
The ISO 17357:2014 floating pneumatic rubber fender is a shock-absorbing device used in marine applications worldwide. It is constructed with synthetic-cord-reinforced rubber sheets filled with compressed air, allowing it to float on the water surface and absorb impact during ship-to-ship transfers, as well as ship-to-dock berthing and mooring operations.
Evergreen's floating pneumatic rubber fenders are fully compliant with the ISO 17357:2002 standard. Our products have been certified by CCS, DNV, GL, LR, and BV, ensuring top-quality performance and safety.
2. Construction Features
The floating pneumatic rubber fender consists of multiple layers, including an outer rubber layer, synthetic tire cord layers, and inner layers. 4. Pressure Requirements of Yokohama Type Pneumatic Rubber Fenders
Evergreen-Maritime produces marine rubber fenders with initial pressures of 50kPa (pneumatic 50) and 80kPa (pneumatic 80). The internal pressure, endurance pressure, safety valve setting pressure, and hydraulic test pressure all meet the requirements of ISO 17357:2002. Fenders with diameters over 2500mm are equipped with safety valves to release excess pressure if accidentally over-compressed.
