Shanxi Province's pharmaceutical industry produced 15 billion yuan last year
The province's food and drug supervision work conference held on February 20 uploaded information. In 2011, the province's pharmaceutical industry and distribution sales revenue reached 15 billion yuan, respectively, and the growth rate also exceeded 20%.
Last year, the province formulated 30 opinions to promote the leap-forward development of Shanxi's pharmaceutical industry, and took the lead in launching and implementing the newly revised “Policy for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Quality Management†in the country, encouraging and guiding the joint, merger and reorganization of pharmaceutical companies to increase industrial concentration. At present, the province's major pharmaceutical groups such as Sinopharm Group, China Resources Medicine Group, and Jiuzhoutong (600998, Baiba) Pharmaceutical Group have settled in Shanxi. A group of enterprises such as Sinopharm Shanxi, Yabao Group and Zhendong Pharmaceutical, through mergers and acquisitions and integration of resources, have significantly improved their core competitiveness and have played a leading role.
