Pacific Shipbuilding launches three-type extreme fuel-efficient bulk carrier

On May 29th , on the eve of the Posidonia show in Greece , the leading shipbuilding company Pacific Shipbuilding Group held a promotion meeting and association in Athens, focusing on CROWN 63, CROWN MHI 82 and CROWN 121 three types of energy-saving and environmentally friendly bulk carriers. Attacked the market segment of 60,000-ton, 80,000-ton, and 120,000-ton bulk carriers. In the event, the industry and the Athens industry gathered together. Nearly 200 shipowners, banks, intermediaries and Pacific Shipbuilding Group Chairman and CEO Liang Xiaolei attended the event.
The three types of products are all based on the "energy-saving and environmental protection" as the primary design concept. Under the strategic guidance of the Pacific Shipbuilding Group's "simple products to the extreme", the Pacific Shipbuilding Group's design team constantly challenges themselves and strives for excellence, and the environmental protection of these three types of ships. Fuel efficiency indicators have risen to the highest possible level.
The CROWN 63 ( 63,500DWT) extremely flexible bulk carrier reduced fuel consumption to 25.8 tons per day at a service speed of 14.3 knots, a 13% reduction over the CROWN 58 (58,000 DWT) bulk carrier. The Pacific Shipbuilding Design Team spent nearly three years on this. After many trials, it finally made breakthroughs in the hull line and propulsion system, through optimized hull line type, large diameter low speed propeller and more power EFI. The main engine and the like reduce the fuel consumption to the limit level. In addition, CROWN 63's green environmental protection is also outstanding. Its first ship successfully delivered in March this year won the world's first French classification society EE DI certificate, EEDI can be reduced by up to 20%.
“ The energy conservation indicators of CROWN 63 have met the design expectations.” The owner of the four CROWN 63, Singapore GREENCHEP, said, “The green design of CROWN 63 is in line with Singapore's environmental policy. The ship's EEDI indicator can be reduced by up to 20%. %, has met the requirements of the second phase of EEDI, which allows it to enjoy the first registration fee and annual tonnage tax reduction before December 31, 2019."
The newly launched CROWN MHI 82 (82,000 DWT) is a bulk carrier jointly developed by Pacific Shipbuilding Group and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries). Since the Pacific Shipbuilding Group announced its cooperation with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in March this year, CROWN MHI 82 has been receiving widespread attention in the market. At present, the cooperation between the two parties is progressing smoothly. CROWN MHI 82 will install Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' energy-saving devices and propellers to obtain the highest propulsion efficiency. The main fuel consumption index is further reduced to below 28 tons/day. The ship model pool test of CROWN MHI 82 will be implemented in mid-2012. It is expected that the overall cooperative design of the project will be completed in the second half of 2012.
Another CROWN 121 (121,000DWT) mini Capesize bulk carrier is an upgraded version of the CROWN 118 (118,000DWT) bulk carrier independently developed by Pacific Shipbuilding Group. It uses a V-boat and a MAN G-type mainframe to reduce fuel consumption. The original 49.1 tons / day fell to 38 tons / day, fuel consumption decreased by 23% in the case of increased deadweight tons.
In addition to the outstanding advantages in fuel consumption, the three types of ships are also equipped with a green ship certificate, technical preparation for installation of ballast water treatment equipment, provision of low-sulfur oil system, hydraulic control hatch cover and anti-pirate area, meeting the forefront Market demand.
At the promotion meeting, Pacific Shipbuilding Group not only introduced the design of the three-type bulk carrier at one time, but also showed the guests the ability to realize the design. With 123 ship cargo delivery records (as of the end of April 2012), covering the entire cycle design capabilities from basic design to production design, coupled with its efficient merchant ship construction base, Ocean Shipping, Pacific Shipbuilding Group is confident to build the most High quality marine products create more value for ship owners.
