Cross-strait petrochemical community discuss park integration

Park development is an important trend in the development of the petrochemical industry in the world, and it is also an important direction for the mainland's petrochemical industry to adjust its structure and change its mode. According to incomplete statistics, there are 186 key industrial parks in the provinces and 25 provinces, or 186 industrial parks dominated by petroleum and chemicals. The total number of enterprises above designated scale is 8022, and chemical parks and chemical concentration zones have been built or are under construction. There are thousands of them. At the same time, cross-strait petrochemical trade has continued to grow in recent years, and both parties have a high degree of complementarity and cooperation space in the areas of park construction, industry linkage, and technological innovation. Data show that from January to October, total trade between Fujian and Taiwan exceeded 61 billion yuan.

Li Yongwu said that the research on promoting the integrated development model of chemical parks is to guide chemical parks to give full play to the advantages of industrial clusters, corporate agglomeration, talent concentration, and resource intensive, promote industrial recycling, and accelerate the realization of land intensive use, energy cascade utilization, and wastewater Recycling and centralized treatment of pollutants, building a link industry, safe and environmentally-friendly park industry development system. Taiwan’s park construction started early, developed quickly, and performed well. It has accumulated rich experience in intensive development, safety, and environmental protection, providing valuable references and reference for the development of petrochemical industrial parks in the mainland.

Xie Junxiong said that with the continuous improvement of the infrastructure of the Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Zone, especially the opening of the Nanshan Area, Quangang has fully developed the basic conditions and ability to undertake the development of large-scale petrochemical projects, which will provide good support for the transfer of the petrochemical industry in Taiwan. Platform, exchanges and cooperation between the two sides of the petrochemical industry will reach a new level.

During the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, the chemical industry park will focus on the scale, systemization, and integration as its main development direction and priorities. It will earnestly implement planning, project entry, comprehensive supervision, expert systems, and public participation to advance the chemical industry park. At the meeting, senior industry experts and principals of the park also talked about the status quo and development trend of the parks in mainland China and Taiwan, the current status and countermeasures of safety production supervision and management of hazardous chemicals and chemical industrial parks, optimization of petrochemical process systems, integration of public utilities in the park, and petrochemicals Industry environmental risk prevention and other issues were thoroughly discussed. In the cross-strait petrochemical industry project matchmaking meeting, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, the Taiwan District Petrochemical Industry Association, the Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park, and the cross-strait chemical companies have negotiated on project cooperation.
