The rapid growth of production and sales of new energy vehicles is a major highlight of the Chinese automotive industry.
According to statistics from the China Automobile Association, in September, new energy vehicles produced 28,324 vehicles and sold 28,092 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 2.1 times and 2.2 times respectively. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 20,365 and 19,228 respectively, up 2.7 times and 2.9 times respectively; the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 7,959 and 8,864 respectively, up 1.1 times and 1.3 times respectively.
From January to September, 144,284 new energy vehicles were produced, with sales of 136,733 units, an increase of 2.0 times and 2.3 times respectively. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 93,032 and 87,531 respectively, up 2.0 times and 2.7 times respectively. The production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 51,252 and 49,202 respectively, up 1.9 times and 1.8 times.
