Consumption of rare earth
From the world rare earth consumption (Table 1) can be seen: mainly used in rare earth metallurgy, petrochemical and glass ceramics industry. Since the 1980s, the application of rare earths in the metallurgical industry has been decreasing, while the application of glass ceramics and petrochemicals has increased.

China's rare earths are mainly consumed in the metallurgical industry and consumption from China (Table 2). It can be seen that compared with other countries in the world, the application of rare earths in the petrochemical and glass ceramics fields needs further development, but China has opened up rare earths. In the fields of agriculture, light industry, textiles, and the amount of use accounts for a certain proportion.
