New Sensors Promote Rapid Detection of Pesticide Residues

On June 29th, the China-Singapore International Cooperation Project “Fly-Label Artificial Antibody Micro/Nanosensors for Rapid Detection of Pesticide Residues” undertaken by the Hefei Institute of Physical Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences successfully passed acceptance in Hefei. After inquiries and discussions, the acceptance expert group believed that through the development of international cooperation and exchanges, the project has obtained a number of innovative and systematic research results. By using magnetic nanoparticles as a matrix, a highly efficient artificial antibody new material was synthesized, rapid separation and enrichment of pesticide components in complex samples was achieved, and visual test strips and micro-nano chips were successfully developed with a detection limit of 0.1 ppb. Better than European and American standards, it provides theoretical and technical support for food safety and agricultural trade. In particular, the research on the pesticide residue sensor is original and has reached the international advanced level.

Through the implementation of the project, the hospital is in J. Am. Chem. Soc. In other international journals, 17 SCI papers were published; 3 national invention patents were applied (of which 1 had been authorized); 4 doctors and 6 masters were trained. The two parties established a stable cooperative relationship. Han Mingyong, who is responsible for the new party, was hired as a research fellow by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
