The All-Stars Gentlemen’s Club at 11645 W. Grand Avenue in Northlake, Illinois met with disaster today as it was engulfed in flames. From what we understand, the fire spread rapidly, and the building collapsed just as quickly. It was a bitterly cold day with temperatures hovering around the teens, and the smoke plume could be seen for miles—easily reaching 20 miles away. Located within the Leyden Township Fire Protection District, just a stone’s throw east of the I-294 tollway, the club found itself at the center of a massive firefighting operation. Multiple departments from MABAS Division 20 were on the scene, including units from Rosemont, Maywood, Westchester, Schiller Park, Melrose Park, Northlake, Stone Park, Elmwood Park, Bensenville, River Grove, Bellwood, and Franklin Park. Photographers from the area also flocked to capture the dramatic event, but few arrived in time to catch the most visually stunning moments.
Steve Redick, Jeff Rudolph, Larry Shapiro, and Tim Olk all made it to the scene after the roof had already fallen in. Still, their contributions were invaluable. Below are some quick shots from Tim Olk and a panoramic view of the aftermath taken by Steve Redick. There will be more images to come in the coming days.

After the roof collapsed onto the All-Stars Gentlemen’s Club, fire crews continued to battle the blaze near a neighboring storage yard. Tim Olk managed to snap some incredible photos, capturing the intensity of the situation even after the worst of it seemed over. The heat was so intense that Leyden Quint 133, an E-ONE Typhoon, had to be repositioned further from the structure to avoid overheating.
The fire was unlike many others due to its reliance on straight aerial ladders equipped with elevated master streams. No tower ladders were used during this incident. A firefighter from Westchester skillfully directed the master stream from their E-ONE aerial ladder, showcasing the teamwork and precision required in such situations.
Further back, Steve Redick captured a sweeping panoramic view of the fire scene, offering a comprehensive look at the damage. His images reveal the extent of the destruction and the sheer scale of the operation needed to contain the blaze.

As someone who witnessed the chaos unfold firsthand, I must say it was a humbling experience. The firefighters worked tirelessly under difficult conditions, and the photographers present did an excellent job documenting the event. It’s a stark reminder of how quickly things can go wrong and the importance of preparedness in our communities. Stay tuned for more updates and additional visuals as they become available.
