Troy FPD is added to Division 15

A new fire department has just been added to the site, thanks to the hard work of Karl Klotz. While we're still waiting for photos of their stations, the Troy Fire Protection District is now up and running on the platform, showcasing equipment from both of their stations. Recently, Troy opened a brand-new headquarters station and started ordering vehicles in an updated color scheme. Up until their 2008 IHC/Medtec ambulance and 2008 Kenworth/Pierce Contender tanker, everything they had was lime green. However, they’ve transitioned to a striking new look—four of their units are now painted black over a deep red hue. Among their latest additions are two brand-new Pierce Arrow XT engines, along with a Ford/Medtec ambulance and a brush unit mounted on a four-door Ford pickup. As you can see from the images, the Kenworth/Pierce Contender tanker (pictured above) reflects their earlier lime green theme, while the newer vehicles showcase their updated aesthetic. The IHC/Medtec ambulance (also shown above) continues to serve the community alongside the other vehicles. And don’t miss the impressive Pierce Arrow XT engine (pictured below), which joins the fleet as one of their most advanced pieces of equipment. One interesting note about the fleet is that Troy currently operates two engines labeled as 2221. They haven’t yet decided how they’ll handle renumbering the older engine once the new designations are finalized. This transition period adds an intriguing layer to their evolving setup, making it even more exciting for enthusiasts following their progress.
