3-11 Alarm fire and Haz Mat Level 1 in Chicago, 2-21-19 (more)

I took these photos around 0515 on Thursday. It was really challenging to get good shots—the L-Tracks and heavy smoke obscured the front of the building. The view from the rear and upwind was better, but the arcing wires made it difficult to approach too closely. The facility was a plating company, so hazmat protocols were in place, and there were some local evacuations. It was nice to see the new TL5 in action. The TL10 had an old HME spare and wasn't used very often.

The presence of the Chicago Fire Department's Tower Ladder 5 and Engines 26 and 30 highlights the coordinated response.
