According to the announcement information released by Great Wall Motor, the cumulative sales volume in the first quarter of this year reached 254,159 units, an increase of 8.88%. The first-quarter earnings report showed that total operating income was about 23.319 billion yuan, up 12% year-on-year; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was about 1.955 billion yuan, down 18% year-on-year. The Great Wall official said that the main reason for the decline in profits was to increase the cost of official promotion, product promotion and R&D investment.
