Hickory Hills house fire: Roberts Park FPD 12-26-12
2025-06-17 14:11:00
As I drove by Roberts Park, I came across an incident that had me stopping to check it out. A full-scale fire had broken out at a house located at 9016 Christina Drive in Hickory Hills, Illinois, with the address being 60457. By the time I got there, about 20 minutes after the first responders had been dispatched, the flames had already been extinguished. I managed to snap a few photos while I was there.
Mutual aid support came in from several neighboring departments, including North Palos, Bridgeview, Oak Lawn, Chicago Ridge, and Evergreen Park. It was quite the collaborative effort to bring the situation under control. I’ll be uploading more pictures to my website shortly, so stay tuned for those.
Here’s what caught my eye:
The first image shows the aftermath of the fire, capturing the intensity of the situation even after it had been put out. You can see the damage left behind, which gives a sense of how serious it must have been before the firefighters arrived.
In another shot, you’ll notice a Hickory Hills police car blocking the road. This particular vehicle belongs to their department and played a role in managing traffic and ensuring safety during the emergency response.
There are also images featuring various emergency vehicles like the Roberts Park Fire Department’s Ambulance 31. The dedication and professionalism of these first responders are evident in every frame.
One of the most striking shots is of an Oak Lawn Fire Department Battalion Chief overseeing operations. His presence indicates the level of coordination required when multiple agencies come together to handle such incidents.
Another compelling photograph highlights Bridgeview Fire Department Engine 425. These engines are crucial in situations like these, providing the necessary resources to combat fires effectively.
Lastly, there’s a picture of Oak Lawn Fire Department Ambulance 2, showcasing another essential component of firefighting efforts—medical assistance for anyone affected by the blaze.
I’ve included additional photos showing different angles and perspectives of the scene. Each one tells part of the story of how everyone worked together to manage this crisis efficiently.
More detailed updates will follow as they become available. For now, let me know if you have any questions or need further information!
