Afterward, the firefighters conducted a swift overhaul to ensure the fire was fully extinguished. The first responders on the scene included units from multiple departments: RFOR Engine 222, Tower 221; T221, which used to be Oak Park's Tower 631, has been customized by River Forest to carry additional 4-inch hose for forward-laying supply lines to Engine 222. Additionally, there were units from Elmwood Park Engine 947, Forest Park Engine 402, and Oak Park Tower 631, along with several chief officers from both River Forest and Elmwood Park. The first image captures the garage prior to the hose being charged and before the firefighters began their operations. As you can see in the next photo, the attack line is already stretched and ready for action. In the subsequent images, firefighters are seen checking the windows and side doors of the structure.
