CAFT flashover training

The Buffalo Grove, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, and Long Grove Fire Departments recently conducted an intensive training session at the Combined Area Fire Training Center in Buffalo Grove. Over several nights, each department rotated their crews through a flashover training prop, simulating real-life fire scenarios to sharpen their skills and readiness. Tim Olk and Larry Shapiro were on-site to capture the action and share the experience with the public.

This hands-on training not only helps firefighters improve their techniques but also strengthens team cohesion and prepares them for unpredictable emergency situations.
