Wheeling police and firefighters responded to an accident at the intersection of Dundee and Schoenbeck Roads on Tuesday evening, May 30, 2017. A car and a motorcycle were involved in the collision, leaving two motorcyclists lying in the street when first responders arrived. The motorcyclist and his passenger, along with the car driver, were all taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The scene was quickly overwhelmed with emergency response units, including all three Wheeling ambulances, both fire engines, Battalion 24, and Chief 2400. Firefighters and paramedics worked together to stabilize and transport the injured, using Stryker cots to move the patients from the crash site.
