Domestic single set of the largest international most advanced technology, annual output of 30,000 tons of melamine plant put into operation

On September 15, China's Zhongyuan Dahua Group Co., Ltd. from Henan Province successfully launched its largest single-unit melamine production facility, capable of producing 30,000 tons annually. The plant produced its first qualified product during the trial run, marking a major milestone for the company. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, this facility is one of the few economically viable large-scale melamine plants globally. With this new unit, the company's total annual melamine production has exceeded 60,000 tons, accounting for approximately one-fifth of China’s domestic output and placing it among the top four producers worldwide. The project, which includes a 140,000-ton urea plant, involved a total investment of 500 million yuan. It utilizes high-pressure production technology developed by the U.S.-based Joint Signal Company. This is the third melamine unit launched by Zhongyuan Dahua in 2000, following two similar units built in 2002, each with an annual capacity of 15,000 tons. All these units were based on the high-pressure method introduced from the United States, making Zhongyuan Dahua the first company in China to adopt this advanced technology. Over the years, the company has gained extensive operational experience and successfully resolved numerous technical challenges. Notably, the first two melamine units at Zhongyuan Dahua have achieved the longest continuous operating cycles among similar facilities in China, running for over 260 days per year. The melamine products are oil-free, sulfur-free, and contain low levels of iron ions, with a purity of 99.99%, meeting international quality standards. Experts highlight that the newly launched facility is currently the most cost-effective and efficient melamine production unit in China. It incorporates the world's most advanced reactor design, streamlining the production process. Additionally, the plant employs state-of-the-art ultrafiltration membrane technology, ensuring that all wastewater, waste gas, and solid waste are recycled. As a result, the production process generates no "three wastes," making it a pioneer in environmentally friendly melamine manufacturing in the country.
