A little view on the mix of branded batteries and original batteries

Is it safe to mix a compatible battery with the original one? The answer is no, it's not advisable. There are mainly three reasons for this. First, compatible batteries often differ from original ones in terms of voltage and capacity. For example, take the motorcycle T191. The original battery has a voltage of 3.6V and a capacity of 570mAh, while a compatible one might be 3.7V with a capacity of 720mAh (such as a Scud battery). Although both may be lithium-ion, their internal structures can be different. This discrepancy could affect the phone’s performance, especially when it's operating under different conditions. Second, frequently changing batteries can cause the back cover to become loose. Take the Nokia 6150 as an example—its battery now sits loosely on top, making it unstable. This issue can also lead to problems with the SIM card slot, causing poor contact and sudden power loss. Third, some brand-compatible batteries tend to get very hot during use. While I don’t have the exact reason for this, it’s a common concern among users. Overheating can potentially damage the device or even pose a safety risk. Mixing different types of batteries is generally not recommended for mobile phones. Additionally, modern charging times are quite short—three hours is usually enough. There’s no need to replace them frequently unless you’re in a situation where you don’t have access to proper charging. In such cases, mixing batteries might be unavoidable, but it should only be done as a last resort.
