Bridgestone China Tire Testing Ground opened

Bridgestone (China) Tire Test Development Co., Ltd. recently opened its doors in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, marking the official launch of Bridgestone's China Tire Testing Site. This new facility represents a significant step forward in the company's commitment to innovation and quality assurance within the Chinese market. Established in September 2005 and completed in late 2007, the company spans an impressive 839,000 square meters. Its own tire test track is a unique achievement, being the first real-world testing runway built by both Chinese and international tire manufacturers in China. As the 11th tire testing ground in the Bridgestone Group globally, it stands out as the only one that fully utilizes local natural terrain to create one of the most comprehensive testing environments in the world. Beyond testing and development, the site will also serve as a platform for promotional activities and public awareness campaigns on tire safety. This dual-purpose approach not only supports product innovation but also strengthens community engagement and education. Currently, Bridgestone leverages its global network of four technology centers—located in Japan, the United States, Rome, and China—to drive technological advancement and develop tires tailored to regional needs. The opening of this new testing and development center in China complements the Wuxi Technology Center, enhancing the overall support system for Bridgestone’s operations in the country. With this expansion, Bridgestone continues to reinforce its position as a leader in tire technology, ensuring that its products meet the highest standards while adapting to the diverse demands of the global market.
