Lanzhou Petrochemical strives to achieve "zero emissions"

Starting this year, Lanzhou Petrochemical Company will continue to allocate funds for the construction of environmental protection projects, such as oxidation pond wetlands, with the goal of achieving "zero emissions" within a few years. The company has been committed to building an environmentally friendly enterprise in recent years, investing over 300 million yuan to improve its environmental performance. It has successfully eliminated the "burning torch," reduced yellow smoke from chemical fertilizer plants, and met discharge standards for wastewater, implemented comprehensive exhaust gas treatment, and ensured harmless disposal of waste slag through buried disposal. Lanzhou Petrochemical has also leveraged technological progress and innovation to construct key facilities, including a 3 million tons per year heavy oil catalytic cracking unit, a 5 million tons per year atmospheric distillation and vacuum distillation unit, a 6,000 tons per year ultra-stable molecular sieve device, a 700,000 tons per year ethylene plant, and a 400,000 tons per year aromatics extraction project. In addition, the company has identified 33 key risk management projects, invested over 300 million yuan, completed the upgrade of the chemical wastewater treatment plant, implemented comprehensive treatment for catalysts and sulfur-containing wastewater, and integrated the treatment of the Chenguanying sewage buffer tank. These initiatives reflect the company's ongoing efforts to enhance environmental protection and ensure sustainable development.
